A little video of Hull/Nantasket where Janis was born.
A little video of Hull/Nantasket where Janis was born.
Went up to Rocky Mountain National Park today to shoot some Elk - unfortunately there weren't a lot of elk to TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS of. (All of you hunters shame on you for thinking I meant a gun!)
I did meet up with Scott Steinbook, who was fishing in the Big Thompson River. I had to take a photo of him as I thought it will be a great cover for Field and Stream Magazine!!
I did get a few elk photos and some good foliage photos too
Hanging out in Lake Estes
I took this one while laying down in the middle of the road.
Its amazing what a good filter can do! No photoshop here!
This is the other side of the Big Thompson River from where Scott was fishing.
Janis had been sick for the past week, since we've gotten back from Vegas, and we're leaving on Saturday for Los Angeles, so we were running out of time to go shoot foliage before it left us. We drove west to RIFLE, which is about 230 miles from home, and stopped at the Rifle Falls State Park, which has 3 waterfalls cascading down a cliff.
then we stopped over by Eagle River and took some photos near Eagle, CO
The Eagle River
Same scene with the infrared camera.
Janis found a squirrel that was hanging precariously on a branch and while I was trying to change lenses to get
a good photo of it, the squirrel moved down the branch to basically try to conceal itself from me.
The foliage was better this year than last year when we went to Aspen, but that was later in the year. Next year
we're going to have to do more than a 1 day trip, that was a lot of driving today!

I keep going over the photos taken at the Cape Cod wedding and just can't get over how great Teresa and Ken look. They ordered a beautiful wedding album, and I can't wait until it is delivered. It will be hard to wait for the album, so I thought I'd put up some more photos taken at the wedding.
If you want to see more photos or the album that I designed for them, go to my website at

Here is a slideshow of Terri & Ken's wedding last weeekend in Cape Cod. It was a beautiful wedding, and other than the wind and rain, couldn't have been better. We got a lot of great photographs outside before the floodgates opened up.

They are a great couple, and I had a great time shooting their wedding!
Heading out to Cape Cod for a wedding shoot! My first "destination" wedding!! I would love to do more of these so anyone that wants to get married anywhere in the world, lets talk about it! I'm willing to travel and my location fees you'll see are very reasonable!!
After the wedding heading up to MAINE/New Hampshire area to look for foliage and MOOSE!
We do have moose here in the rockies and have taken some photos of moose but would rather see it in the east coast with some foliage sprinkled in. Colorado foliage just isn't the same thing..
I was looking at some old photos -
The before..
and the after
After is a lot better, eh? 20 trees, 750 sq ft patio - deck expansion, water feature -
If you are interested in getting a custom designed water feature for your yard, I'd highly recommend
Falls by Fox. They did a great job on ours, considering the flatness of our lot, they were able to put in a nice
water feature for us. One of the things you see in the after is the elementary school between our house and house on the left.
That school didn't even break ground until Oct 1st, 2007 and it started last week with school kids. Amazing!
