Janis and I did a nice little roadtrip today to Ogallala, Nebraska about 3 hrs away.   There were supposed to be 60 or more eagles there 2 weeks ago so thought we'd go take some photos - we got there at 11 am and were there till about 430, and saw about 9 of them in the area that we were at.

A new president elected, nice weather for the inauguration, and it was beautiful here, a balmy 65 degrees out here, so we went up to the Rocky Mtns to see what we could see -

On the drive I told my 86 year old mom that it was reported that out of 8 years in office George Bush spent 3 full years either at Camp David or on his ranch in Crawford Texas on 'vacation'.  She replied "Good, imagine what more he could have done if he was working all that time"  Gotta love her! We are out in California this week and brought our car xm radio toa be ase the xm radio in the rental car. We stopped @ best buy to get a car adapter and it is all hooked up but isn't working.

I called the 800 # for audiovox to see if they could help, and I was on hold for 105 minutes. I went from number 3 to number 1 in line in 18 minutes, so I stayed on hold as I figured it wouldn't be long.

At 330 pm local time I was disconnected as apparently they go home at 530 central time. I immediately called back and got the "we are currently closed msg."

I am so pissed at AUDIOVOX

Kings vs Sharks on Monday and vs Rangers on Wed.   Big storm coming in to SoCal on Monday..  But then again we are getting snow Sunday and Monday here in Colorado when we fly out to SoCal.   Hopefully it will miss both places and we'll have nice weather for our hockey trip to watch the Kings. 

My sis and bro are coming out on the 19th for the holiday!! Should be a good time!

 

 

Well I took them today, so actually the Saturday after Thanksgiving - they were hanging out in a field when we were out and about today - pretty cool!  They were out in the open until the hawk (?) showed up and then they went into the brush to hide from him.

I have to go out and get some new tires for the SUV - can't even get up my driveway .. didnt realize they were so worn..

Anybody want two cats?   They've figured out a new game, they jump down onto the landing above the front door and hang out.  Sadie knows how to jump back up the 5' to the loft railing but Abbey either can't jump up or doesn't want to as its more fun to have us go up on the ladder and get her.
